Shed demolition means tearing an old shed down, pulling what holds it to the ground and hauling it away. Global Construction and Home Repair is based in Valrico and does this work across the Tampa Bay area. We take down wood, metal, vinyl and resin sheds, plus concrete block storage buildings, old barns and small outbuildings. Storm-damaged and collapsing sheds come down too.
Sheds and barns are part of our demolition work, along with houses, garages, additions and decks. The company has more than 30 years of demolition and construction work in the Tampa Bay area. The excavator crushes the shed where it stands, and our dump trucks and trailers handle the debris removal. Call or text (813) 239-4231 for a free estimate.

Each kind of shed comes down a little differently. A wood shed breaks apart under the excavator bucket, and a metal shed folds flat. Resin and vinyl kit sheds come apart in panels. Concrete block storage buildings get broken down and loaded out like any block rubble.
We pull the tie-downs and ground anchors that hold a shed against the wind. Pasco County requires tie-downs on the small sheds it lets go up without a permit. The wood skids or concrete blocks under the floor come out next. If you want the slab gone too, we break it out as concrete removal in the same job.
A shed that a storm twisted or flattened leaves sharp metal and loose nails in the yard. We take down what is left and pick up the pieces. Hurricane and flood-damage demolition is work we have done before. In Pasco County, demolition on a property in a flood zone needs a permit before the work starts.
Old barns and small outbuildings come down the same way as a shed, on a bigger scale. A barn takes more machine time and more truckloads, and any posts set in the ground come out too. A detached garage is a bigger job that we handle as house demolition.
We work about 50 miles out from Valrico, across Hillsborough, Polk and Pasco counties. In Pasco, that includes Wesley Chapel and Zephyrhills. Inside the City of Zephyrhills, its own building department issues residential permits.
Pasco and Hillsborough both draw a 150 square foot line for sheds, and both rules cover putting one up. Taking a shed down is a demolition question. Hillsborough's demolition checklist wants a site plan with the structure to be demolished clearly shown. Ask the office that covers your address what it wants.
A shed teardown starts with a look at the shed and a free estimate. We check the size, the base under it and how the machine reaches it through gates and fences. You empty the shed before demolition day.
Any power to the shed gets disconnected before the machine starts. We call Sunshine 811 before we dig out anchors or a slab. Florida law asks for that notice at least 2 full business days before any digging or demolition.
On demolition day the excavator takes the shed down and loads it out. The load is construction and demolition debris, which Hillsborough County classes as non-processable waste. We fill the anchor holes and leave the spot level. If the yard around it sits low and holds water, land grading can fix that.
From the first call or text to the clean lot at the end, here is how it goes.
Call or text (813) 239-4231 with the address and what needs to come down. Photos of the structure help before we come out.
We come to the property and look at the structure or the lot. Size, what it is built of, access for the machines and where the debris goes all set the price. The estimate is free.
Hillsborough County requires a demolition permit, and it wants utility sign-offs before it issues one. A licensed asbestos inspector surveys the buildings the state rule covers. We work around the permit and the survey, and we confirm what your address needs.
The excavator comes in and the structure comes down. Anything you are keeping stays protected while that happens. Debris goes into dump trucks and trailers as we work.
The last loads go out, and the slab and foundation go with them when you want them gone. We grade the ground so the lot sits level. Then you have a lot you can build on, sell or use.

One company takes the structure down, hauls the debris off and grades what is left. The dirt work after a teardown runs on the same job and the same schedule. That is one number to call, from the estimate to the finished lot.
We work about 50 miles out from Valrico. That covers Hillsborough County towns like Tampa, Brandon, Riverview and Plant City, plus Lakeland and Winter Haven in Polk County. Wesley Chapel, Zephyrhills and Land O' Lakes in Pasco County are in range too.
We come out, look at the structure or the lot and tell you how the job would run. The price comes from what is actually standing there. The visit is free and the work starts when you say go.

Global Construction did an outstanding job demolishing the original single-story, ground-floor portion of our home after it was flooded by Hurricane Helene. This was a highly complex project that several other companies declined because the original house had to be carefully separated from the remaining garage and ADU above, while also preserving the existing pool. Their team handled the demolition with skill, professionalism, and great attention to detail. They took on a difficult project, completed the work safely and efficiently, and delivered phenomenal results at a very fair price. We are extremely grateful to Global Construction and would highly recommend them to anyone needing an experienced and dependable demolition contractor.
We needed help demoing affected homes from the hurricanes in late 2024 to dry them out and thankfully we were connected to Mike and his son and their crew. They were great to work with, they were punctual, they were respectful and we all around a great experience working with them.
