Global Construction and Home Repair is a demolition contractor based in Valrico, Florida. We take down houses, garages, additions, sheds, barns, decks and commercial buildings. Demolition is the vast majority of our work. We haul the debris off and leave a clean lot.

Michael Walker has done demolition and construction work in the Tampa Bay area for more than three decades. Global Construction and Home Repair LLC grew out of that work. The name still carries Home Repair from those years. Today the work is demolition, land clearing, excavation and hauling.

The work gets done with an excavator, dump trucks and trailers. Our crew runs the machines and does the hand work. The same equipment handles land clearing on overgrown lots and acreage. It also does grading and building pad prep after a structure comes down.

We work about 50 miles out from Valrico, across Hillsborough, Polk and Pasco counties. That covers Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, Plant City, Lakeland and Wesley Chapel. We have taken down flood-damaged homes after the 2024 hurricanes, some of them a piece at a time. Estimates are free, so we look at the structure first, then price the job.

We look at the site

We come to the property and look at the structure or the lot. Size, what it is built of, access for the machines and where the debris goes all set the price. The estimate is free.

Permits and utilities

Hillsborough County requires a demolition permit, and it wants utility sign-offs before it issues one. A licensed asbestos inspector surveys the buildings the state rule covers. We work around the permit and the survey, and we confirm what your address needs.

The teardown

The excavator comes in and the structure comes down. Anything you are keeping stays protected while that happens. Debris goes into dump trucks and trailers as we work.

A clean lot

The last loads go out, and the slab and foundation go with them when you want them gone. We grade the ground so the lot sits level. Then you have a lot you can build on, sell or use.

Global Construction did an outstanding job demolishing the original single-story, ground-floor portion of our home after it was flooded by Hurricane Helene. This was a highly complex project that several other companies declined because the original house had to be carefully separated from the remaining garage and ADU above, while also preserving the existing pool.
